Students in Profe McQueen's Spanish 1 classes played Pass It Up! to review the video story "El mono" (The Monkey). After dividing into teams, students listened to sentences in Spanish, looked for the corresponding screenshots, and passed the illustrations forward to their teammates. Those in the front had to race to put them on the whiteboard and get back to their chairs first. Yes, they were loud, but they were listening, thinking, collaborating, and moving--high energy AND engagement! #tongienation #usd464

THS senior Brooke Hurley and her fellow HVAC students at KCKCC Pioneer Career Center are creating miniature plenums! A plenum is a box that connects an air handling unit to ductwork, distributing conditioned air and providing a return path for unconditioned air. Students measure, cut, and bend the sheet metal at the corresponding measurements to create the box, door, and lid. #tongienation #usd464

A few of our Chieftain Basketball players spent their Saturday mornings the past few months helping TES 1st and 2nd grade students work on their basketball skills! A parent shared this photo and a sweet message for the boys: "Thank you for pouring yourselves into our littles!! It showed every week how much they all looked up to you! You all are true role models!! GOOD LUCK at sub-state tonight! We will be there cheering you on!!!" Mark, Lachlan, Jayson & Anthony, THS is so proud of you, thank you for making a difference! #tongienation #usd464
