In-person enrollment begins Monday at noon for students that are new to the district! If you have a returning student & would like to pay district fees in-person, school offices will be open & available to accept payments beginning August 3rd.

Time for our last Summer Snaps of 2023!
1. Tonganoxie Middle School teachers Mrs. Fraley & Mrs. Kaighin were pregnant at the same time this past school year. Their babies were able to meet & have their first Starbucks playdate this summer! Baby Kaighin was born in late February, while Baby Fraley arrived in late April.
2. Seventh grader Solara Garcia traveled to Nationals in Des Moines, Iowa, with her 12U Aces Fastpitch Softball team!
3. Sophomore Grace Weatherford attended Seacamp, a marine science camp in Big Pine Key, Florida. She learned all about sailing & can now rig and de rig her own sailboat. She snorkeled the waters of the Florida Keys National Marine Sanctuary and learned about nurse shark tagging and coral preservation and restoration.
4 & 5. Tonganoxie Elementary School art teacher Miss DeWald got married on July 15th and is now Mrs. Dombeck!
6 & 7. Senior Santiana Garcia had a kimono photoshoot in Tokyo with her host sister, Mizuki Seki, as part of her FCCLA Kikkoman Scholarship Japanese Exchange Program. She also visited some of the local temples and shrines!
8. Freshman Abby Burkart attended the Garmin Engineering Camp at Garminâs headquarters in Olathe, where she built and coded her own rover to complete various challenges during the campâs final Mission to Pluto robotics competition.
9. Tonganoxie High School athletics secretary Mary Welsh has had a busy summer, attending her daughterâs wedding shower and her 45th Lourdes High School Class Reunion, as well as visiting the North Shore near Grand Marais in Minnesota and going to Las Vegas for her 63rd birthday!
10. Assistant Superintendent Tonya Phillips and her husband Shawn visited their son Blake in Washington, DC, where he is working as a staff assistant for Congressman Tracey Mann. They had the opportunity to tour the White House and Capitol building!

Summer Snaps Week 6!
1) The Wade family enjoyed their vacation to Grand Teton National Park and Yellowstone National Park!
2) Bella McNeely, Brooke Nihart, Reece Schmidt, Sydney Kirchoff, and Parker Welsh (not pictured) competed at the AAU Track & Field Regional Qualifier in Yukon, Oklahoma.
3 & 4) High school special education teacher Madelyn DeKeyser and her husband found out they are having a baby girl!
5 & 6) High school math teacher Stacy Emmot and her husband traveled to Marysvale, Utah, where they rode over 400 miles on the Paiute Trail in their UTV!
7 & 8) High school assistant principal Kelly Hoopes vacationed with her family in Colorado Springs, Colorado!
9 & 10) Fourth grade teacher Amy Olsen celebrated her birthday at the Happiest Place on Earth, traveling to Disneyland in California!
