Our January Transformative Teacher is Ms. Thierolf! Ms. McVey chose Ms. Thierolf because of the dynamic and engaging classroom environment she creates. Not only does Ms. Thierolf's classroom have a fun learning environment, she makes it inclusive for all learners. Ms. Thierolf works hard to make her curriculum equally accessible to students of all ability levels. Congratulations on this recognition Ms. Thierolf!

A huge shout out to FCCLA member Hayden McMeans, who has been working hard all semester to "Ignite the Fight" in helping to bring needed food and clothing to others in the community. Over the past two weeks, she has delivered 15 complete meals and $500 to The Good Shepherd from the money raised from the FCCLA/TEA soup supper. She is also in the process of making 5 birthdays bags, and she has given out 61 coats and 18 blankets to those in need! Thank you to everyone in the school and community who has helped her project be so successful.

Our eighth and tenth graders had an amazing time at the Reality U event on Friday, December 5th! Students stepped into the shoes of their 26-year-old future selves and navigated a hands-on financial simulation that showed how today's choices can shape tomorrow's opportunities. Huge thanks to our incredible community and student volunteers for making this experience possible!

The first annual THS Thrift and Gift kicked off today, with over 70 shoppers lining up early before it opened. Students and staff were able to shop the donations and find fantastic free items for themselves and loved ones. There is also a gift wrapping station available. Students are learning about "Financial Fitness" and how being financially responsible builds essential life skills. It creates positive habits, teaches accountability, and empowers them to make informed decisions about money. Thank you to our librarian Paula for her support in starting a great new tradition! There is still time to donate! Students can continue to shop until next week. Please drop off at the THS library before Monday. #FCCLA
