KCKCC Pioneer Career Center HVAC students Kolby Gehl & Cooper Waters continue to learn about brazing, a metal joining process in which two or more metals are joined together by the melting & flowing of filler metal into a joint. They cut copper pipes, removed the burrs, sanded the inside & outside of the fitting and assembled the tube & fittings before brazing. Kolby & Cooper are also learning how to conduct house calls for HVAC repairs, using tablets with software that allows them to present customers with paperwork electronically, create estimates, deliver work orders & service agreements, submit invoices and more.
