Yesterday, members of the THS Media and Literacy Group attended the Kansas Scholastic Press Association's Winter Workshop at the University of Kansas. This workshop series provides students with on-campus and in-person experiences to learn a specialized skill in media or journalism.

You're invited to the College & Career Fair at Tonganoxie High School on Thursday, February 16, from 5:00 to 8:00 PM. We will have colleges/universities, community colleges, tech schools, military branches, as well as trades/unions and businesses in attendance. Some businesses are even looking to hire. Make sure to stop by their tables as you make your way to parent teacher conferences.

The THS band purchased music stands with grant money received from the USD 464 Education Foundation! A special thank you goes out to students Rylan Bedtke and Ian McCloud for doing such a great job putting them together. The stands will be used daily by the concert band, jazz bands, ensembles, and soloists. We are grateful to the Foundation for supporting our musicians!

It's National FBLA Week! Future Business Leaders of America, Inc. (FBLA) is the largest business Career and Technical Student Organization in the world, helping over 230,000 members prepare for careers in business each year. FBLA's mission is to inspire and prepare students to become community-minded business leaders in a global society through relevant career preparation and leadership experiences. Governor Kelly recently signed a proclamation recognizing this week in the State of Kansas!
