Tonganoxie High School has been chosen as one of 23 high schools in Kansas to receive recognition as a 2024 Performing Arts School of Excellence by the Kansas State High School Activities Association (KSHSAA)! The KSHSAA reached out to the Kansas Music Educators Association (KMEA), the Kansas Speech Communication Association (KSCA), and the Kansas Thespians. A committee of two members of leadership from each association, plus KSHSAA staff, met in July 2024 to discuss numerous high schools that scored exceptionally high in debate, speech, music, and theater during the 2023-24 school year. After deliberation, the committee and the KSHSAA chose one winner, four finalists and 18 commended schools from across Kansas. We are proud and excited to be named a 2024 Commended Performing Arts School of Excellence, and we thank our students and staff for their hard work and dedication in the areas of debate, speech, music, and theater! #tongienation #usd464
