Please join us for TES Fine Arts Night on Friday, April 11 from 5:30 to 7 pm. Thousands of pieces of student work will be on display. Check out our ceramics display in the Commons hallway display cases and the mixed media work and glow gallery in the Commons Trophy case. Don't forget to find your student's work in the framed Artome exhibit in the main gym. Framed pieces are available for purchase. Choristers are hosting a bake sale in the Commons and will sing at 6 pm. Get your picture taken at our photo booth display! Thank you for supporting our students' creativity. When students present their artwork, they are working on one of their Visual Arts standards. They are excited to show you what they have created. We hope to see you there! @SchoolArtShowsbyArtome #tongienation #usd464

Laila Beach, a kindergartner in Mrs. Tinberg's class, has been very excited to have baby goats at home! Kindergarten students are focusing on the needs of living things, and what better way to learn through a hands-on experience! Yesterday they were able to learn a little bit about what it takes to bottle feed and raise a baby goat. It's safe to say everyone loved meeting Leo! 😍 #usd464 #tongienation

The 2025 Royal Brush "Best Youth Art Month Classroom Display" results are in! The winner was Kristin Johnson at Hoxie Grade School, but our very own Amy Lawson received an Honorable Mention for her YAM display. Amy's display contains the acronym YAM for Youth Art Month. Her board says, "The more you immerse yourself in the arts, the healthier and happier we become," a phrase taken from the book "Your Brain on Art" by Magsamen & Ross. Her decorations are paper sculptures from K, 1, and 2 students and Printmaking Challenge papers by fourth and fifth grader. Other papers used are from student "no name" artwork. Congrats, Amy! Amy will receive a brush set from Royal Brush. The contest was administered by Kansas Art Education Association and sponsored by Royal Brush. #YAM #Royalbrushart #kansasaea #tongienation #usd464
