Mrs. Maize's fifth grade math students practiced plotting ordered pairs. The ordered pairs created a turkey with a sign saying, "Eat Salad!" Students then colored their turkeys and gave them funny names! 🦃🥗📈 #tongienation #usd464






Mrs. Tinberg partnered with the THS FFA program to bring a few animals to school as a cumulative activity for kindergarteners to conclude their unit about farms! Ms. Maize's 5th graders completed an attachment challenge for the opening of Sculpture Studio with Mrs. Dombeck! This included creating a sculpture in table teams based on a prompt, using other methods of attachment besides glue & 4 pieces of tape!! They did a marvelous job!











First grade students cast their votes on Election Day! They filled out voter ID cards, went to the first grade voting booth, & marked their favorite holiday. After they got "I Voted" stickers, the votes from each classroom were tallied, & Christmas was the winner! Mrs. Lawson's art classes have been doing their attachment challenge, a precursor to opening up the Sculpture Studio for 3rd, 4th & 5th grade. Students were not allowed to use glue or staples; they had to rely on 2 pieces of tape & other forms of attachment. This was a timed challenge & they were given a prompt to base their sculpture off of. This is third grade's first time doing this challenge.
