Rising Tonganoxie High School junior Jacob Smith will travel to Indianapolis, Indiana, this week to compete in the Junior Gold Bowling Championships, an annual national tournament for the top youth bowlers in the United States. Jacob will be competing in the U18 Boys division. He has been bowling for three years, having spent his childhood watching the sport. His family members are also bowlers, including his brother and frequent bowling partner Brenden (pictured above, right). Jacob bowls at Royal Crest Lanes in Lawrence, Kansas.
