Sophia Hubbell, a social worker at Tonganoxie High School, was recently named as the 2023 recipient of the Margo Award for Excellence in BSW Field Instruction, awarded by the University of Kansas School of Social Welfare. Ms. Hubbell was nominated by Lia Byer, a social work intern at Tonganoxie High School. The prestigious Margo Awards for Excellence in Field Education are named for Margaret Schutz Gordon, Professor Emeritus who served with distinction as Professor and Director of Field Education at KU SSW from 1970 to 1983.
