This week, juniors Keziah Slinkard and Santiana Garcia participated in the HOSA-Future Health Professionals spring state leadership conference at Pittsburg State University! As a local organization, they discussed growing their chapter, collaboration with the chapter at Basehor-Linwood, and goals for the next year. They also participated in various breakout sessions. Last week, Cooper Waters, THS senior and KCKCC Pioneer Career Center HVAC student, learned about brazing. Brazing is used to connect refrigerant tubing to equipment when installing or repairing an HVAC system. It is one of the best leak-proof connection methods, as brazed joints are strong and can withstand high temperatures and pressure conditions.
