Mrs. Schrant's first grade class has been learning all about Kansas Native American homes, pioneer homes, Kansas symbols, and the Kansas flag. On January 29, the State of Kansas commemorated its 162nd birthday! To celebrate, Mrs. Schrant's class made replicas of the state flag and sang "Happy Birthday" as they enjoyed a sunflower cookie!

Jaclynn Reyes, a 4th grader at TES, was given a Positive Bus Office Referral from her driver, Andrea Putthoff. Miss Andrea writes, "Another student had 3 bags of food with her this morning. When the student got off the bus, one of her bags tore open. Jaclynn stopped to help the student and then carried 2 of the bags into the school for the student."
Masen Hernandez, a 5th grader at TES, was given a Positive Bus Office Referral from his driver, Pam Plake. Miss Pam writes, "When it was raining and the bus steps were slick, Masen stood at the top and assisted the younger students down the stairs so they would not fall. He is so awesome!"
TES is so proud of Jaclynn and Masen for being such kind and positive role models!
