Several TMS students recently participated in the Kaw Valley League Spelling Bee and the Leavenworth County Spelling Bee. On January 31, TMS held the Kaw Valley League Spelling Bee, playing host to spellers from across the region. A competition was held at each grade level. Results from those bees are as follows:
Annabelle Cokely - 3rd overall for 6th grade
Camden Dye - 5th overall for 7th grade
Chaynee Howell - 2nd overall for 8th grade
James Hooker - 5th overall for 8th grade
Kate Carter - 6th overall for 8th grade
The Leavenworth County Spelling Bee was held on February 3 in Leavenworth. Representing TMS were Javan Smith (6th grade), Camden Dye (7th grade) and Chaynee Howell (8th grade). Camden Dye placed second overall.
