The Lady Chieftain golf team wrapped up the season last week with the state golf tourney down in Emporia, Kansas. The team placed 5th on the first day, qualifying them to move on to day two of competition. The ladies battled the elements and showed their grit in the cold and wind of the day. Day two ended with a sixth place finish for the team. Hayden York was the top performer, with a 3rd place finish individually. Congratulations to everyone on a wonderful season! Team members this year included seniors Hayden York and Emma Skelley; juniors Bethany Overmiller, Gage Slabaugh, Santiana Garcia, and Abby Clarkson; sophomore Lydia Rafols and freshmen Julia Staples, Rowan Pruitt, Rachel Harbour, and Samantha Reischman.
