Chieftain Day is a fun tradition at Tonganoxie High School that recognizes and rewards students who demonstrate academic success, responsibility, and positive behavior. Students who have earned all A's, B's, and C's up to this point in the semester, have four or fewer tardies, and have not received any ISS or OSS are eligible to participate.
Eligible students enjoy a trip to Legends in Kansas City, where they can choose to eat at any of the restaurants in the shopping district. Many students also take advantage of some extra time to shop and enjoy the day with their friends.
Chieftain Day is more than just a chance to get out of the building. It is a positive incentive that celebrates the hard work, personal responsibility, and high character we want to see from our Chieftains. We are proud of our students and love providing opportunities to recognize their efforts!
