wrestlers stand on a blue podium at Gardner Edgerton. THS wrestlers stand on the second and fourth place steps

Chieftain Wrestling kicked off our competition season last Wednesday at Bonner Springs. THS Varsity won the dual 54-24 and the JV wrestlers won most of their matches. On Saturday, we sent squads to varsity tournaments at Wamego and Gardner Edgerton. The Gardner tournament is one of the toughest tournaments in the Midwest with some of the best teams in the country attending, including squads from Southeast Polk, IA; Broken Arrow, OK; Allen, TX, as well as nationally-ranked individuals in many of the brackets.
