tes and ths students stand in the finished outdoor classroom

This year, TES Student Council members wanted to make our outdoor classroom space a place our staff and students would feel excited about and ready to learn in. With the generous support of First State Bank and Trust of Tonganoxie through the Pete and Margaret Leighty Trust Grant, TES counselors and Student Council sponsors Emma DeMaranville and Michelle Vostrez were able to obtain the funds to help us make our space more usable. We purchased new benches, plants, mulch, and ADA-accessible tables to make this space more inclusive for everyone at TES. TES Student Council had some very special high school guests over to help during the THS Community Service Day. These TES and THS students worked diligently to make our outdoor classroom a space to be proud of! Continuing the tradition of the previous elementary school's outdoor classroom, this space was re-dedicated to former TES teacher Liz Cronemeyer.
