Hi, my name is Mrs. Bond. I teach 6th, 7th, and 8th grade Physical Education and Health here at TMS. I started my adventure here in Tonganoxie in 1973 at the age of one. It has been a wonderful place to live and work, and I am thankful to my parents for choosing our town!
Growing up in this school district, I was very fortunate to have many great teachers as role models. Choosing a profession was easy thanks to all the love and support that I gained from my educators and mentors. I can’t remember a day that I did not want to be a physical educator!
My journey started at Fort Hays State in Hays, KS. I earned a BS in Physical Education and Health. I also participated in Track and Field while I completed my degree. I moved to North Platte, NE. where I taught for 2 years as a middle school P.E. instructor and health teacher. With one more stop in KCK at Pierson M.S. I ended up in Tonganoxie and have been here for almost 20 years!
My busy life starts at home with my husband, Mr. Bond. Mr. Bond is the Strength and Conditioning instructor at THS. He also coaches football, powerlifting, and track and field. We have 3 children that keep us on our toes! Mia is a Junior, Dallas is an 8th grader, and Drew is a 3rd grader! They really enjoy life in Tonganoxie and all it has to offer! We also enjoy hanging out at the lake, walking our dog Kade, and spending time with family, but my real happy place is the beach!
During this year, I hope to keep you all busy in Physical Education and Health along the way. Staying active is an important way of life, and I hope that I can help you all find the joy in movement!
