My name is Kim Swearngin, and I am in my 6th year teaching Family and Consumer Science on west campus at Tonganoxie High School. I teach 3 sections of Nutrition and Wellness I & II, and I teach Freshman Careers in the Life Skills rotation. Before my career move to Tongie, I taught for 16 years in North Topeka at Logan Jr. High. I am a Perry-Lecompton graduate and then received my teaching degree from Kansas State University. Living in the area all my life, it was a great move for me to be closer to home and have a shorter commute.
My Husband Tom and 2 sons live on a Black Angus Cattle Ranch just over the county line. In my spare time I am attending my sons sporting events and helping on the Ranch. I am enjoying my move closer to home and becoming a part of the Tonganoxie community.
