Originally from Wisconsin, I spent 23 years of my adult life criss-crossing the globe with my family thanks to Uncle Sam. I had the great adventures of living in Spain for two years, Hawaii for three years, and Germany for eight. During all these adventures, I taught ESL in Spain, taught part-time at Le Jardin in Hawaii and for DODDS in Germany, and taught full-time in San Antonio, Texas. Whew! After all this traveling, we decided to settle in Kansas. And I have been teaching English at Tonganoxie High School for the past ten years.
My educational background is as follows:
MS in Adult Education, Kansas State University
Teacher Certificaiton, University of Texas-San Antonio, Language Arts 7-12
BA in Accounting, Hawaii Pacific University
BS in Psychologty, University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point
I am the proud mother of three children: Andrea, Michael, and John. Andrea and Michael have earned the ranks of Major and Captain, respectively, in the US Army, Andrea in the Nursing Corps and Michael in the Infantry. Both have returned from combat assignments. Yea! Our youngest son, John, lives in Connecticut and is a manger for Enterprise. Oh, and I cannot forget, our latest addition to the family is a Brittany Spaniel puppy named Penny who loves to go upland game hunting!
The Junior year is an exciting and busy one. I will do my best to help my students succeed in American Literature and prepare for continuing education after high school.
